Project Ideas for Film Students

Sweatshirt Wedding
First of all, there’s a wedding, and secondly, it’s pretty cold out, but not too cold out. Also, the maid of honor is pretty possessive, and the bride is also a bride from a hell of her own. When it gets kind of cold, nobody knows what to do, and it’s just a matter of time.
Party and Style: Hawaii
There’s a guy named Party who’s American, and a guy named Style who’s European. They live in Hawaii, and they always try to find the party. Unfortunately for them, though, there’s this guy named Johnny who’s Israeli. Johnny always wants to know where the party is. Party and Style never tell him where the party is, but he always finds out. But things usually work out for Party and Style anyway.
Friends and Precipitation
Growing up in California, there’s this thing where, when it’s raining, we get rivers in our gutters. When this happened, I always built boats out of Popsicle sticks and floated them in the water. I have one friend I did this with, Ben, and we’re still really good friends. We went on a trip together last summer, we’re going to go on another trip together this summer, and also, when Bay Area sports teams win significant games, we call each other.
The Man Who Was a Computer Man
There’s a guy in a room with a computer and some soda. He also smokes a lot, which is taboo, given our day and age. He’s just gotten to the next level when he remembers what women are. That’s when the movie gets surreal and goes inside his brain, and we see the exact scientific effect of women on men.
Birds of the Night
First of all, bats never get their due. They fly, and they suck blood. This makes them way better than birds. Nobody will admit this. Everyone thinks bats are just shadows that squeak and flap. Nobody understands that there isn’t one bird out there that will suck blood. Even an eagle that drops from a hundred feet and catches a fish isn’t nearly as sinister.
Sports
All these guys grew up in this town (it’s called Mill Valley, and my mom lives there). The town has a square where the train station used to be.There’s a bookstore on the square called The Depot. Everyone hangs out there. Everyone except these guys, that is, who hang out down the street at The 2 AM Club.
